I confess that I by no means could be considered a religious sort, though
like a lot of people I tend to spend a great deal of time on my knees to the
powers that be. This is particularly true when it comes to my regional Energy
provider, and just about every other public and private entity that must be
paid, weekly, monthly or, in a few choice cases, in perpetuity.
Thus, I have been searching for some time, that is, when I've had the time,
for a means,. some vehicle - no, not the fuel burning kind - that could
possibly, in whatever way, free me up from at least a few of these
Energy-centric expensives. So I came across a bible--again, not that one.
Rather, a much useful variation, the so aptly entitled: Efficient Living
Bible, an e-book published by this very Efficient Planet.com.
What does the Efficient Living Bible infer? What great knowledge and wisdom
does it impart? Well, if your running a bath, a fridge, a stove, a microwave a
few lamps, t.v., a fan, a computer, and your significant other, kids, or
roommate has been unleashed, ipods in rotation, blackberry humming to run the
dog around the local track, and this is happening all at once., then it is a
good bet that (after you switch-off the majority of those appliances, and put
your roommate to bed, if possible) a download of the Efficient Living Bible
couldn't hurt.
The great thing that I initially found noteworthy was that (as opposed to
that other bible), the Efficient Living Bible e-book does not, in-itself, try to
sell you anything. Rather, Efficient Planet's
E.L.B. is a compact, condensed workaday step-by-step guide toward getting
the most out of one's personal energy use, together with a host of practical and
allied conservation tips that will both cut-down on those more than pesky costs,
which I have previously mentioned, and help anyone manage their time.
And as it was once so ingeniously coined by an Ex.: "time is scratch". Sounds
like something out of Guys and Dolls, doesn't it? However, I would suggest, and
propose, the Efficient Living Bible( after all, it is the real topic of my post)
that the following bit of dialogue uttered by Mickey Rourke in White Sands,
would seem more applicable, still: "You're the money, I'm the action". In this
regard, I would say that E.P.'s Efficient Living Bible delivers on both of these
counts. Check it out. I mean, the e-book, not White Sands.
