The healthy ways of weight loss include regular workouts, proper diet and adequate sleep. The role of crash diets and overenthusiastic exercise programs have lost their appeal and credibility. Our body is so created by Mother Nature that it can not always tolerate rapid changes.

Let me explain. You live a sedentary life and one fine morning, you are asked to sprint 100 meters in an office sports contest. You are sure to injure yourself, if not break one of your leg or ankle bones. It will demoralize your idea of losing weight and put your fitness program on indefinite hold.

Dieting requires a gradual decrease in the volume. Your diet will provide the required nutrients when you are on an exercise program. Some ideas about healthy weight loss

Three fundamental things you need to know about a healthy weight loss program. They are, the role of exercise, a balanced diet and proper rest.

Role of exercise

Perhaps the most vital aspect in healthy weight program is the role of exercise. You may join a local gymnasium or set up a private multi-gym in your home. The second one is preferred by most of the fitness enthusiasts since they may prefer privacy while they exercise. You need to create and stick to your exercise routine.

The exercises that you need

Exercises are of two types - aerobic and the isometric exercises. Both of them are needed for a healthy way toward weight loss. By doing aerobic exercises, your vital body organs receive a good oxygenated blood supply, which is really essential for a good physique. The isometric exercises build the muscles.

Lifestyle modification

Simple modifications in your lifestyle will make huge difference. Just follow the simple steps -

·        Allow an extra 15 minutes daily in your household routine like cleaning, gardening, dusting etc.

·        Engage in hobbies which keep you on the move like outdoor sports, painting.

Never overlook this part. Your body needs extra calories when you are on a strict exercise schedule. Exercise burns calories and if you don't replenish it, you will get fatigued very quickly.  Besides, we need proper nutrition to live a healthy life. Just do the following to get a better result-

·        Avoid junk food, food which contains high amounts of fat.

·        Always eat fresh green vegetables, complex carbohydrates and proteins.

·        Add fiber in your diet. Whole grain flour is better than the white bleached flour.

·        Avoid drinking alcohol as much as possible. Do not smoke!

Role of sleep

A healthy young adult must sleep for at least 6-7 hours a day to keep healthy. Sleep deprivation will also lead to poor performance.
