Bigger department stores also offer camping gear for children, which may not really be functional, but children will enjoy doing things like setting up their own tents. They might even pitch in and do their bit while you set up camp.
Camping with kids has been described by many who have tried it, to be an extremely fulfilling, refreshing and enjoyable experience if it is planned and organized well. It gives children the opportunity to appreciate and understand the importance of the different aspects of nature, helps them build confidence when they learn to do things on their own without the help of fancy gadgets and the luxury that they have been used to so far.
